Job Description

About Us:
We are a growing home services franchise group with a dynamic internal marketing team structured like an agency. We support our franchisees by driving lead generation and brand visibility, both locally and nationally. We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced SEO / SEM Specialist to join our team and help us drive organic traffic and conversion rates, as well as assist with franchise recruitment efforts.

Job Summary:
As the SEO / SEM Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, improve conversion rates, and drive lead generation for our franchisees. This role will focus on both national strategies and optimizing efforts for individual franchise markets. You’ll collaborate closely with the marketing team, particularly our PPC specialists, to ensure cohesive SEM efforts across the board.

You will also assist our social and content teams in optimizing video and social SEO, ensuring content findability across platforms. Your ability to track, analyze, and optimize SEO campaigns using industry-leading tools is key to driving our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies focused on organic traffic growth and lead generation for franchise markets.
  • Collaborate with the PPC specialists to optimize SEM efforts and ensure synergy between paid and organic strategies.
  • Work with social and content teams to optimize video, blog, and social media content for search visibility.
  • Lead technical SEO efforts, including on-page and off-page optimization, ensuring site health and crawlability.
  • Use tools like SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Tag Manager, and AI-driven platforms (e.g., GPT, Castmagic.io) to monitor, analyze, and refine SEO strategies.
  • Develop quarterly and annual SEO plans in collaboration with the CMO and marketing team.
  • Balance national SEO strategy with local market-specific approaches to support franchise recruitment and lead generation.
  • Track and report on SEO KPIs, including monthly and quarterly organic traffic growth and conversion rates.
  • Stay updated on the latest SEO and SEM trends, including changes in search algorithms, AI-driven tools, and video SEO practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in SEO with a proven track record of driving organic traffic and conversions.
  • Expertise in SEO tools such as SEMRush, Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager.
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., GPT, Castmagic.io) to streamline and optimize content creation and analysis processes.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads (a bonus, but not required).
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, and video/social media SEO.
  • Ability to develop both national and local SEO strategies.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • No college degree is required, but demonstrable experience and performance are a must.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Hybrid work environment based out of Columbia, SC.
  • Opportunity to work within a flat team structure alongside experienced marketing professionals.
  • A dynamic role within a growing franchise group, with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
