The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the production team during the day shift, ensuring that all manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, safely and to the highest standard of quality. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in manufacturing, with a background in office furniture manufacturing being a significant advantage but is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and lead the 1st shift manufacturing team to meet production targets and quality standards.
· Ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
· Monitor workflow to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
· Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
· Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance and skills.
· Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production schedules and meet deadlines.
· Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
· Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, with supervisory experience preferred
· Experience in office furniture manufacturing is a significant plus.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
· High level of integrity, moral and ethical leader.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with subordinates, colleagues and senior leaders across both 1st and 2nd shifts to aid shift transitions.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
