Sommelier / FOH Restaurant Manager

Are you an experienced Sommelier / FOH Restaurant Manager looking to join a successful

restaurant company and grow your career? Prime Hospitality Group (PHG) is seeking a Sommelier to join the Ruth's Chris Steak House team. Consider this exceptional opportunity!

As a Sommelier, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and flavors that are paramount to the fine dining experience at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. Your passion for fine wine will ensure our guests select the perfect vintage for every occasion, palate, and cuisine.

Demand for Excellence

Organize and assist with the service of beverages, ensure correct handling, storage, and cleaning of all liquor service equipment

Management of our wine locker program

Passion for Hospitality

Assist guests with wine and beverage pairing to complement menu,

Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service 

Hungry to Grow

Conduct first interviews for bar, host, server, runner and server assistant candidates

Unwavering Commitment

Conduct and/or participate in pre-shift line-up and on-going front of house staff meetings, and properly and timely complete all manager closing duties

Purchase and manage inventory pars and controls

Desire to Win

Work as a floor manager during each scheduled shift and support all service staff

Ensure that proper control is followed on all stock

Sommelier Qualifications and Physical Demands

  • Previous experience as a Sommelier required
  • Must have extensive wine and food knowledge
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills,
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift 
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
