SLPA Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Implement specialized therapy plans through individual and group sessions in alignment with students’ Individual Education Plans (IEP) goals.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and parents to integrate therapy into daily activities and provide strategies to support students' communication needs.
Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and support the development of IEPs.
Maintain accurate documentation as per federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and school policies.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences from an accredited educational institution.
Valid SLPA state license or eligibility for licensure.
Child Abuse, Federal, and State Clearances.
