Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
Location : Glens Falls, NY 12801
Shift Details : Variable shifts - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM / Afternoon shifts 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Hours : 30 hours guaranteed per week, with up to 40 hours scheduled per week
Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Pay Rate : $37/hr - $41/hr

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred

Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) experience - Required

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a highly team-oriented environment
• Assist with the preparation and sterilization of instruments for various procedures
• Support 16 operating rooms, including coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections
• Manage instruments for a variety of procedures: Neuro, Orthopedic, ENT, Thoracic, Vascular, General, and Gynecology
• Daily case volume: approximately 50 procedures
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner

Licenses & Certifications:

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) - Required
• COVID-19 vaccination - Required

Additional Information:

• COVID-19 vaccinations are strongly encouraged, though not mandatory
• Patient population includes both pediatric and adult cases
