Location: WFH BUT AUSTIN-BASED, Texas (Remote work with occasional site visits,  must be licensed in Texas)

We've got vision and design, now we need you to help us bring it to life structurally, efficiently, and beautifully. You'll be our first in-house structural hire.

If you're tired of value engineering someone else's designs and want to own the structural story from start to finish - this is your chance.

Why this role matters

Right now, we rely on external structural consultants. Which means delays, costs, and too much back-and-forth. We need someone who gets it done - quickly, cleanly, and smart.

You'll go from “what if?” to “let's build it” - and you'll build the structural team behind it too.

This isn't a one-and-done project.

We're starting with 100+ homes in Texas Hill Country, but we're actively acquiring more land to build sanctuaries across the US. This is your chance to get in early and help shape a long-term vision that's just getting started.

What you'll own

1. All structural design and detailing for our homes and amenities

2. Direct collaboration with design and architecture teams (located in India)

3. In-house value engineering to save steel, concrete, and cash

4. Building systems and standards for faster coordination and permitting

5. The foundation of our future structural engineering department
   

What success looks like (first 90 days)

1. Lead Coordination on 4 Homes
   Own the structural/MEP design coordination process for at least 4 homes, ensuring timely reviews, clear documentation, and streamlined communication between internal teams and consultants.
2. Identify & Eliminate 3 Cost Inefficiencies
   Conduct design audits and propose actionable changes that reduce material or labor costs on at least 3 existing home designs - documenting savings and implementation plans within 60 days.
3. Cut Design Iterations by 40%
   Reduce the average number of design iteration rounds per home from 5 to 3 by improving internal understanding and upfront clarity - measurable by the end of your second coordinated home.  
   

What you bring:

• Licensed PE

• 7+ years of hands-on structural design experience

• A portfolio that shows smart, efficient builds - ideally with alternative materials

• Comfort navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and fast decisions

• Strong communication - you can sketch in real time, not wait for RFIs

• Entrepreneurial mindset - you want to build something that outlasts you
