The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access to realtime updates throughout the hiring process. HRTS will require new candidates to set up an account, which allows them to track their application’s progress. Experience with Supervised Persons and/or Criminal Justice Involved Populations
Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical cases, treatment planning, and discharge planning and a commitment to evidence-based practices.
Knowledge of mental health treatment models, reentry planning, and community resource linkage for individuals transitioning from the criminal justice system.
Excellent Communication Skills.
Ability to work with diverse populations and understand the socio-cultural factors affecting supervised persons and individuals in correctional programs.
Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, understanding how to collaborate with psychiatrists, parole officers, and other professionals.
Strong analytical skills, pro-active problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Proficient with MS Office, Computerized Case Management Systems (such as PATs, ARMS, SOMS).
Knowledge of Social Work Policies, Ethics, Mandates, and confidentiality requirements.
Willingness to work in office and travel to supervised complexes under this position.
Desirable:
Experience with project management and quality management processes/procedures.
A strong understanding of local resources available to supervised persons and the ability to build and maintain partnerships with service providers.
