We're looking for a hard-working and personable Surgery Scheduler, committed to helping us provide a phenomenal experience for our patients. The person in this role will work primarily at the Alpharetta location.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule surgeries for patients and coordinate with appropriate clinical and surgical personnel
• Discusses preoperative information with patients
• Provide patients with accurate information pertaining to their procedure
• Answer calls from patients scheduled for surgery and all surgery related inquiries
• Coordinate arrangements with hospitals, surgical equipment representatives, and other materials
• Serve as a friendly liaison between physician team and the patient
• Assist physician teams and other departments as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience working as surgery or procedure scheduler, spine or orthopedic a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to maintain professionalism and composure when speaking to patients and visitors
• Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
• Basic knowledge of computer programs
• Strong typing skills, quick and accurate data entry
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
