Job Description

Ambrose Upholstery Shop is a well-established business in Austin, TX that specializes in high-quality custom furniture upholstery services. We take pride in our craftsmanship and dedication to providing our clients with the finest furniture restoration and creation. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Upholstery Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport furniture to and from clients’ location and our workshop.
  • Assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring all deliveries are conducted promptly and professionally.
  • Work closely with experienced upholsterers to prepare materials and tools.
  • Assist in stripping old upholstery, cutting fabrics, and assembling upholstered pieces.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring all necessary materials are in stock.
  • Receive and organize deliveries of fabric, foam, and other upholstery supplies.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report shortages or excesses.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in upholstery, furniture repair, or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy furniture safely.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
