Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee and assist with our day-to-day accounting operations. Role will be true accounting manager that isn’t afraid to get into the weeds with their team. Will not be handling budgets/forecasting etc. true accounting side as the extension of the senior director of accounting. MUST have experience with multiple entities /multi location/multi state (recent) experience in these areas.
Responsibilities:- Oversee daily accounting activities, including journal entries, inter-company transactions, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Manage reconciliations for payroll, employee benefits, and withholding liability accounts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in multi-entity, multi-state payroll and financial reporting.
- Utilize NetSuite for financial data management and reporting.
- Oversee all bank transactions, ensuring accurate postings and reconciliations in the general ledger.
- Manage credit card activity, ensure accurate postings and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, cash flows, and balance sheets.
- Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
- Will manage growing team of 4 and be right hand to the Senior Director of Accounting
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- At least 5 years of experience in multi-state, multi-entity payroll, including expert knowledge of withholding tax and reconciliations.
- 5+ consecutive years of hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP and customized reporting.
- Experience with ADP Workforce and JPM Chase banking systems, required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
- Ability to work on-site 2 days a week (some flex here as well) and be available CST/EST time zones
