Job Title: Cocktail Server – Alter Ego

 

Location: Tampa, FL
Alter Ego is a 47 seat, music forward, cocktail lounge highlighting worldly sounds and spirits located off Water Street. Hours are Sunday-Wednesday from 5pm-12am and Thursday-Saturday from 5pm-2am. 

We are looking for dedicated Cocktail Servers to fulfill all roles: serving tables, bar support, and bar prep. Craft and volume cocktail experience is preferred. Applicants need to have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and to be coachable. 

The position is paid Florida minimum serving wage and part of the house tip pool. Employee parking will be paid for by Proper House Group. PHG also provides 50% off employee discounts at all their restaurants, and an opportunity to join a wellness program with access to a general practitioner.

Responsibilities:

• Take orders and serve drinks to customers.
• Ensure the bar area is clean and well-stocked.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional orders.
• Collect payments and return change.
• Assist in bar preparation and opening/closing tasks.
• Maintain a clean work environment to comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Recommend drink pairings or menu items based on customer preferences.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Follow all relevant laws regarding alcohol service and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Cocktail Server, Bartender, or similar role
• Knowledge of cocktails and mixed drinks
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Physical stamina and ability to carry heavy trays
• Good communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
