As a Designer Drafter in our Salem, OR office, you’ll play a key role in designing electrical and structural layouts for power engineering projects.
Design & Drafting : Create detailed schematics and structural layouts using SolidWorks and 3D AutoCAD
Software Utilization : Leverage cutting-edge design tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams
Compliance & Accuracy : Ensure all designs meet NEC, NESC, and industry standards
Project Documentation : Maintain accurate records, perform quality checks and peer reviews
Process Improvement : Contribute to research and development efforts to enhance design methodologies

Experience : 1-2 years in design/drafting within the utility or engineering sector
Software Proficiency : AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite
Technical Knowledge :
Understanding of power engineering, substation, relay protection, and structural systems
Familiarity with NEC and NESC codes
Experience with GIS Mapping Software is a plus
Education : Associate’s degree in design/drafting or related field ( Bachelor’s degree is a plus!)
Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and attention to detail
