Your New Role

As a Designer Drafter in our Salem, OR office, you’ll play a key role in designing electrical and structural layouts for power engineering projects.

• Design & Drafting : Create detailed schematics and structural layouts using SolidWorks and 3D AutoCAD

• Software Utilization : Leverage cutting-edge design tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams

• Compliance & Accuracy : Ensure all designs meet NEC, NESC, and industry standards

• Project Documentation : Maintain accurate records, perform quality checks and peer reviews

• Process Improvement : Contribute to research and development efforts to enhance design methodologies

• Experience : 1-2 years in design/drafting within the utility or engineering sector

• Software Proficiency : AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite

• Technical Knowledge :

  • Understanding of power engineering, substation, relay protection, and structural systems

  • Familiarity with NEC and NESC codes

  • Experience with GIS Mapping Software is a plus

• Education : Associate’s degree in design/drafting or related field ( Bachelor’s degree is a plus!)

• Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and attention to detail
