Job Description

Live-In Nanny Needed in South Jersey

A loving family in South Jersey is looking for an experienced, energetic, and proactive nanny to join their household and care for their 2-year-old and a newborn (arriving in May). The toddler will be going to school 5 days/week in September. This is a long-term live-in position, offering the chance to truly become part of the family. Both parents have busy careers and travel often, so we need someone who is independent, reliable, and can hit the ground running.

Schedule:

  • Now through May:
    • Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and evening help until bedtime at 7:30pm
    • Occasional Friday/Saturday date nights.
  • After May (when baby arrives):
    • 40-50 hours/week, with flexibility for up to 60 hours on occasion.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Skilled with both toddlers and newborns, with a solid understanding of developmental milestones. 
  • Someone lively who can match the energy of a curious toddler and manage age-appropriate activities.
  • A proactive nanny who can read the room and take initiative without needing to be micromanaged.
  • Must be confident handling routines, travel, and changes in schedule with ease.

Responsibilities:

  • Caring for the toddler and newborn, maintaining consistent routines.
  • Managing baby-related laundry (family laundry handled by a service).
  • Assisting with potty training when needed.
  • Keeping the children’s areas tidy (housekeeper comes weekly).
  • Supporting travel, both domestic and international.
