Mill Operator

Full Time

SUMMARY:

Lead a 5-person team through the process of making tubing. Mechanically adjust mill to make good quality tube.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Including the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by management and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Tarter site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):

• Record run information.
• Start mill on time everyday.
• Adjust mill as needed.
• Lead mill change over.
• Occasional forklift operation.
• Basic math skills.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Effective interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
• This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to read and write.
• Willingness to work with computer and equipment software.
• Knowledge of general mechanics a plus.
• Basic leadership ability.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Greasy at times.
• Lifting of up to 40 pounds on occasion.
• Fast paced decision making.
• MUST E-VERIFY.
