The Seattle Times, one of the few remaining independently owned newspapers and one of the nation’s premier regional news sources, is looking for a full-time Photo Production Assistant to join our Pulitzer Prize-winning newsroom. As part of our Photo / Video team, you will be responsible for downloading, color correcting, cropping and sizing photos for use on all Seattle Times news platforms. You will work under the direction of photo and video editors, assisting with picture and video editing, and handling special projects. Ideally, you would be comfortable handling other duties which include building photo galleries and posting Times visual content online as well as on social media sites. In addition, you should be ready and willing to help out with other tasks as needed, including some administrative duties, like processing invoices and ordering supplies, along with technical maintenance tasks. You will uphold standards of accuracy, ethics and inclusiveness in coverage.

Work Location: This is a hybrid role requiring about two days per week in the Seattle office.
Schedule: This position will work a variable schedule including morning and evening shifts. There may be some weekend work required, depending on business needs.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $59,200 to $69,400.
