More About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced mental health and wellness coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, psychology, counseling, or related fields, along with experience in coaching individuals to achieve their wellness objectives. As a mental health and wellness coach, you will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop personalized wellness plans, and provide ongoing support and encouragement to help them achieve their goals.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' mental health concerns, wellness goals, and lifestyle factors.
Develop personalized wellness plans tailored to each client's unique needs, incorporating strategies for improving mental health, managing stress, enhancing resilience, and fostering overall well-being.
Provide one-on-one coaching sessions with clients to discuss progress, address challenges, and offer guidance and support.
Utilize evidence-based techniques and interventions to help clients overcome barriers to wellness and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
Educate clients on various aspects of mental health and wellness, including the importance of self-care, mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as therapists, psychiatrists, and nutritionists, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting progress, session notes, and any relevant information.
Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and developments in mental health and wellness, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and learning.
Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice in coaching and counseling professions.
Foster a supportive and nonjudgmental environment that empowers clients to take ownership of their mental health and make positive changes in their lives.
Educational Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
3+ years of wellness coach & case management experience
Background in Eastern medicine & Western medicine is desired
Certification or training in coaching, such as wellness coaching, life coaching, or health coaching, DBT certification is preferred
Previous experience working in mental health or wellness-related roles, preferably as a coach, counselor, therapist, or similar position.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others improve their mental health and well-being.
Analytical thinking and ability to analyze data.
Occasional travel may be required.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with both kids & adults
Certified in Yoga minimum 200 hours
Reiki Certified
Behavioral Therapy background or experience
Consistent & organized
Time Commitment Minimum: 10-15 hours per week, during normal business hours (Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. PST).
