Job Overview

Kingdom Nightclub is looking for reliable, proactive, and professional security staff to join our team in downtown Austin. We are a high-energy EDM nightclub seeking individuals who can maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff.
Position: Security
Pay: $20/hour + split of box office tips
Schedule: Part-time with late-night and weekend availability required

Responsibilities include:

Opening Duties

• Set up stanchions, rugs, and signage at the entrance and garage areas
• Prepare all security equipment (hand wands, clickers, flashlight)
• Confirm wristband colors with management
• Clean and restock guest and staff bathrooms (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, rags)
• Sweep, mop, and prepare floors, mezzanine, and stairwells
• Set up bottle tables with stanchions, mats, and candles
• Turn on all required fans and lighting systems per checklist

During Shift

• Monitor entry and exit points, check IDs, and ensure guest safety
• Patrol the venue to maintain order and assist guests or staff as needed
• Maintain situational awareness to prevent incidents or escalations

Closing Duties

• Bring in all signage and equipment, organize and store properly
• Sweep, mop, and zamboni/mop all floors
• Wipe down and reset bottle tables, mezzanine couches, and tables
• Clean guest bathrooms and remove any graffiti
• Turn off all fans, disco balls, red lights, and store all security equipment properly
• Organize storage rooms, brooms, mops, and cleaning supplies

Requirements:

• Must be 21+
• Must have or be able to obtain TABC and Security certifications (if applicable)
• Reliable transportation to downtown Austin
• Ability to stand and move for extended hours in a loud nightlife environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Prior security or nightlife experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
